Coligny Plaza by Bike
Hilton Head Island is a cyclist’s dream. Its miles and miles of pathways, gliding past enchanting marshes and through lush forests, have earned it accolades from the League of American Bicylists. The national organization recently gave the town of Hilton Head Island gold status as a bike friendly community, making it one of just 350 gold status communities in the whole country.
And of all those pathways, there’s no better place to point your tires than Coligny Plaza. Not only do we have the coolest bike racks on the island (come on; where else can you park your bike in an alligator or a shark?) but we’re also a great place to take five on your long trek. Recharge with a refreshing drink at Frosty Frog, a smashing sandwich at Stu’s or a delectable breakfast at Skillets… or just unwind at Caretta Coffee and people watch. And why not indulge in some retail refreshment (just make sure to hit at least two shops, so you can even out the weight of the bags on your handlebars) before hitting the pathways and exploring?
