Why Coligny is The Place for Pokemon Go

In just a shade over a month since it was first released, Pokemon Go has smashed every record for mobile gaming, becoming a certified phenomenon (we’re not sure who certifies such things, but we’re sure they would agree with us). If you are one of the 9.5 million people who are caught up in Pokemon Go mania, and one of the 2.5 million visitors to Hilton Head Island every year, you have to head to Coligny Plaza.

Why? A few reasons. First, our plethora of Pokestops. Each one of these is packed with pokeballs, potions and berries, and they’re arrayed in such a way that you can hit each one, then browse through the shops while you wait to make another lap and hit them again.

Second, we have some of the highest concentration of rare Pokemon on the island. The number and quality of Pokemon are highly dependent on the number of players around you. As one of the most popular destinations on the island, you’ll find Pokemon here you won’t find anywhere else.

Third, our regular lure drops keep those rare Pokemon coming back to Coligny Plaza. Keep an eye on our Facebook page to see when they happen.

Finally, bragging rights. Currently, Team Mystic controls Coligny Plaza’s gym, located at the Yostie Memorial Statue, not to mention the nearby Coligny Beach Park gym. Can they hang on to it? That’s up to you to find out.

(Note: the author is Team Instinct and will not rest until that gym is bright yellow.)
